Tom Lin

Tom Lin is a professional photographer at Tom Cody Design studios. He is known for his hdrs to be extremely detailed with a dark background. In my photos i am going to attempt to recreate his style of hdr portraits then crete it with my own style as well. 

Rineke Dijkstra

Rinek Dijkstra is a prominent photographer from the Netherlands. She is known for her unique way of shooting portraits which has become the basis of her portrait series. In her portraits she shoots with the camera at a lower level than the subjects face, which results in the camera almost appearing to be aimed at the subjects stomach. In addition to that she also shoots with natural lighting pointing at the subjects back and a flash pointing at the subject, this results in the background appearing bland or fake and almost like a backdrop in a studio. She is trying to bring emphasis to the physical and psychological development of people in general as well as shooting portraits in a way that is unique and makes her stand out when compared to other photographers.  

Second Chance

For my second chance project I took HDR portraits of people. I looked up videos on how to get better at the process and that made me better.

Freedoms Speech

Earlier there was a massacre in Paris that threatened the freedom of speech in the area as well as the whole world. Several cartoonists were killed by terrorists when they made political cartoons that ISIS found to be offensive.

My Break

Over the break I stayed in Tulsa and spent time with my family and friends. Over the break I got significantly closer to my friends and family. On Christmas my family gave gifts to each other and we got my dad a five week old golden retriever named Hunter. He is a savage and harasses our household  by tearing down the christmas tree and attacking everyone and everything. At five weeks old he has the other dogs scared of him.
