Benoit Courti versus Ansel Adams
Benoit Courti is a modern era French portrait photographer. There are many websites dedicated to his photography work. He mostly shoots black and white portraits. They are extremely detailed and display high variations of contrast. In addition to this he poses his models in a way that is less mainstream and more unique when compared to other portrait photographers. He takes mainly head shot portraits and then poses them in a way that shows more expression or drama in the picture. He uses bright whites and deep blacks in his portraits with either a white or black background. The most obvious repetitions in the style of his portraits is the detail especially in the subjects eyes and the unique poses with dramatic expressions.
Ansel Adams is a famous landscape photographer and can even be credited with being one of the truly first landscape photographers. He is an american landscape photographer most known for taking pictures of the american west, especially Yosemite National Park. Liek Benoit Courti he is a black and white photographer but unlike Courti he uses film instead of digital and shoots landscapes instead of portraits. His photos are landscapes that are extremely detailed and are very majestic.
